Pinterest Creative Tools is expanding its in-app collage features with two new interactive options: Collage Remixing and Collage Sharing. These updates build on the collage tools Pinterest introduced last year, inspired by the popularity of its separate Shuffles app.

With Pinterest’s collage creation, users can cut objects out of any Pin and combine them with others to create interactive images. Each item remains clickable, making it easier to promote products within the app.

Now, Pinterest is giving users even more ways to play with these collages. First, Collage Remixing allows users to collaborate and edit existing collages. This lets anyone put their own spin on a design, with credit given to the original creator. It’s a fun way to rework someone else’s idea while sharing your version with your followers.

On top of that, Pinterest has improved Collage Sharing. Users can now download their collages as videos, perfect for sharing on other platforms like Instagram or TikTok. While Pin links won’t be clickable in these videos, Pinterest will add watermarks to guide people back to the original Pin. Plus, those posting on Instagram Stories can include custom stickers that link directly to the Pinterest post.

These updates are designed to boost engagement with the collage feature, which has gained a lot of traction, especially among Gen Z users. In fact, collages have become so popular that Pinterest is working on an ad option for them, while Instagram has started testing its own collage tools—proof that the format is catching on across platforms.

With these new tools, Pinterest is making it easier and more fun to get creative, collaborate, and share your ideas with others.
